The Furutech Rhodium-plated FI-10R IEC Inlet sounds clean and slightly cooler than the gold plated model. This is a premium IEC inlet sporting a nylon / fiberglass housing and high conductivity Phosphor bronze base metal. The Furutech FI-10 IEC inlet is a significant upgrade to most audiophile components, since most stock inlets are made of nickel-plated brass and PVC body. When used in conjunction with the Furutech FI-25 series IEC plugs on your power cord, you'll have a connection that has a very tight grip, in addition to great sound! This IEC inlet is simple to install, and does NOT require any soldering. The wires are simply screwed into the inlet.
Also available as a Gold plated unit that provides a somewhat warmer presentation. For video applications we recommend the Rhodium or Silver units.
